REDPLUM – ORLANDO SWEEPSTAKES

Official Rules

  1. HOW TO ENTER: The RedPlum – Orlando Sweepstakes ("Sweepstakes") begins on 9/23/08 at 12:00:00 AM (ET) and ends 10/31/08 at 11:59:59 PM (ET) (“Promotion Period”). To enter, go to contest.redplum.com/orlando and complete the online entry registration. Then, click "submit" to complete your registration to enter the RedPlum Sweepstakes ("Sweepstakes"). Limit one entry per week, per person – max. six (6) entries per person for the Promotion Period. For purposes of this Sweepstakes, a "Week" is defined as a consecutive seven-day period which begins on Monday at 12:00:00 AM (ET) and ends on Sunday at 11:59:59 PM (ET) (except for the last week of the Sweepstakes which ends on a Friday at 11:59:59 PM (ET)).

    In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of an entrant, any entries will be deemed to have been submitted by the Authorized Account Holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry, provided that person meets all eligibility requirements set forth in these Official Rules. “Authorized Account Holder” means the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. Entrants may not participate with multiple e-mail addresses, nor may entrants use any device or artifice to enter multiple times in a Week or as multiple entrants. Any entrant who attempts to enter with multiple e-mail addresses, under multiple identities or uses any other device or artifice to enter multiple times in a Week will be disqualified from participation in the Sweepstakes and all entries submitted by that entrant will be void. Valassis (“Sponsor”) is not responsible for any change to email address, mailing address and/or telephone number of entrants.

  2. ELIGIBILITY: Open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees of Valassis, its subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, the Orlando/Orange County Convention & Visitors Bureau, Inc., and immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of each are not eligible to participate. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.
  3. RANDOM DRAWING: Winner will be selected in a random drawing on or about 11/14/08 from among all eligible entries received by Sponsor or its designee, the judges in this Sweepstakes, whose decisions are final and binding. Winner will be notified by phone, mail and/or email at Sponsor’s discretion.
  4. PRIZE/APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE (ARV)/ODDS: One (1) Grand Prize - A five-day/four-night vacation for up to four (4) to Orlando, Florida (ARV $4,690.00). Prize includes: round trip coach class air transportation between a major metropolitan city airport in the U.S. closest to the winner’s residence and the Orlando International Airport in Orlando, FL; four (4) nights hotel stay at the Royal Plaza located in the Walt Disney World Resort (based on quad occupancy - room and tax only); one (1) full-size class rental car for five (5) days; and eight (8) single-day (single-park, where applicable) admission tickets to winner’s choice of Walt Disney World®, SeaWorld® Orlando or Universal Orlando® (two single-day passes per person). Travel must begin/end with the same major U.S. airport, with the same service. Stopovers, open jaws, circle trips or frequent traveler mileages are not permitted. Once passengers are ticketed, an airline change fee must be paid by the winner to change flights or dates of travel. For rental car: driver must be the winner and he/she must be twenty-five (25) years of age or older; possess a valid driver’s license, credit card and auto insurance. Rental car agreement is subject to the terms and conditions of the rental car agency and winner will be responsible for any additional costs associated with the rental car. Accommodations and airfare are subject to availability, and must be booked at least 30 days in advance of travel date. Certain restrictions and theme park black-out dates may apply. Theme park entertainment and attractions may be seasonal and subject to change without notice. No sale, transfer or substitution of vacation elements will be permitted. Vacation does not include taxes, tips, gratuity, meals, services charges, or any other service or item not specifically described above. Vacation is not redeemable for cash. Unclaimed prize will not be awarded. Odds of winning depend on total number of entries received. Vacation must be completed by October 31, 2009 or prize will be forfeited in its entirety. All applicable federal, state, and local taxes on prize are the sole responsibility of the prize winner. Grand Prize winner will receive a 1099 tax form for the approximate retail value of the prize.
  5. GENERAL: Potential Grand Prize winner must execute and return a notarized Affidavit of Eligibility/Liability Release and, where permitted by law, Publicity Release within ten (10) days after the first notification attempt. Guests of Grand Prize winner (if under 18 years of age, their parent/legal guardian) must sign and return a Liability/Publicity Release prior to awarding of prize. Non-compliance with Official Rules may result in forfeiture of prize and an alternate winner may be selected. If prize notification or prize delivery is returned as non-deliverable, prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner may be selected. No cash equivalents, substitutions or transfer of prize is permitted except that Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value at their sole discretion. By participating, entrants and winner release and agree to hold harmless Sponsor, its affiliates, subsidiaries, directors, employees, officers and agents, including without limitation, their advertising/promotional agencies and the Orlando/Orange County Convention & Visitors Bureau, Inc. from any and all liability, injury, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with participation in the Sweepstakes, or the awarding, receipt, possession, use or misuse of any prize and/or with respect to participation in any prize related activity. Sponsor is not responsible for any typographical or other error in printing, offering or announcement of prizes. By participating in this promotion, entrants agree to be bound by the Official Rules and the decisions of the judges, which are final and binding in all respects.
  6. INTERNET: Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, mutilated or illegible entries nor for electronic transmission errors resulting in omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of entry materials, or for technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, computer, hardware or software malfunctions or limitations of any kind, or inaccurate transmissions of or failure to receive entry information by Sponsor or presenter on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website or any combination thereof. If for any reason the program is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, the Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes and to award the prize from among all eligible entries received prior to action taken by Sponsor. . Caution: Any attempt by any person to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent of the law.
  7. CONFIDENTIALITY: Entry information becomes property of Sponsor and is subject to Sponsor's privacy policy as posted on its website at the following Internet address: http://www.redplum.com/info/Privacy.aspx.
  8. For name of Grand Prize winner, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope by 12/20/08 to: RedPlum – Orlando Sweepstakes – Winner’s List, 67 South Bedford St., Ste. 100E, Burlington, MA 01803. Winner’s list to be available after 11/20/08.
